How it works

Now is the right time to be thinking about installing Solar Panels. The government has locked in a feed in tariff of 41.3p per unit of electricity generated. This means that as well as getting the electricity you generate for free you will get paid cash guaranteed by the UK government for 25 years at this rate – tax free and RPI linked.

This can give you up to a massive 14% return on your money. This is surely one of the best deals around today. This rate is being reviewed in 2012,  so it is best to lock into the rate now. People who act quickest will benefit the most.

If you wish to see if your property is suitable for a solar panel installation then please contact us and we can arrange for one of our consultants to carry out a site survey and to assess the suitability. The various factors that influence the site suitability are roof area, orientation and shading. Please download our guide for further information.

Once we have assessed your property we will calculate how much energy you will be able to generate and hence how much money you will earn from your installation. Our consultants can also offer information on ways to finance your project. Once you agree a Surveyor will come and inspect your property and an installation date will be agreed. Our teams of MCS certified engineers will then come and install the solar panels and connect the system up to the national grid so that you can then start to generate your own power and get paid for it for the next 25 years.

Items we need to check;

  • » Roof access. We need to be able to get the panels on the roof – this will usually require some sort of scaffolding, which we will arrange.
  • » Space to put the inverters and switches (the inverter is the biggest unit - around 40cm x 40cm). This usually goes in the loft or near the fuse box.
  • » A spare fuse in your fuse box (this can be arranged by us).
